In 2019 we have seen a dramatic shift in different Digital Marketing Strategies. Earlier many have dismissed artificial intelligence or visual search, but that time has gone. With the change in time, new techniques and trends are evolving to meet the competitive needs so that business can succeed. The trends which were outstanding last year not necessarily will do the same magic this year, so have to be ready to accept new ideas, techniques and practices.

On the basis of market research and my own experience, I am sharing few of the most spoken Digital Marketing Trends for this year:
  •         Artificial Intelligence

This is the most spoken trends as it will take over the world. With the feature of analysing consumer behaviour and search patterns utilizing the data from social media channels, blog posts, it allows businesses to understand how users and customers find their products and services. It also offers information and tips to users by getting into conversations. Gartner says chatbot technology will be used by 25% of customer service by 2020, up from less than 2% in 2017.
  •            Programmatic Advertising

It allows for targeting more specific audiences. For example, Real-time bidding or auctions is a type of programmatic ad buying. This automation is much more competent and quick, which means higher conversions and lower customer acquisition costs. Virtually 90% of digital display ads in the U.S. according to eMarketer, will be programmatic by 2020.
  •          Chatbots

This AI-based technology allows instant messaging to chat in real-time, 24x7, with your customers or website visitors. As per data approx. 1.4 billion people networking with chatbots, by 2020, 80% of savvy businesses are planning to use chatbots. Chatbots by 2022 will help businesses yearly saving over $8 billion, especially in the banking and healthcare industries.
  •          Personalization

Personalized content, products, emails, and more are playing a pivotal role. With the information like purchase history, consumer behaviour and links clicked, custom content has never been easier. Personalization advances customer relationships, 96% of marketers believe.

The data which we have says that approx. 70% of consumers mention that they have public a brand’s video, 72% of businesses say video has enhanced their conversion rate, 52% of consumers mention that watching product video makes them more assertive in an online purchase decisions, 65% of executives visit the marketer’s website and 39% call a vendor after viewing a video.

Live video is achieving fame, with an enormous number of businesses using it for product demos, interviews and “behind the scenes” glimpses of events, life in the office, how products are made, etc.

These numbers show increasing the popularity of social messaging apps for business commitments. Since people are outlaying more of their time messaging each other, it makes sense to market your company’s services where your prospective customers are hanging out.

Visual search can yield the user experience to a completely new level. Users can upload an image with visual search to conduct a search and get more specific results.
  •          Micro-Moments

Micro-Moments is a “new consumer behaviour,” as termed by Google, that delivers your marketing message clearly and briefly in a way that is of interest to the consumers – all within a duration of seconds (otherwise, they drop their devotion and are onto the next article!).

In 2019 to take benefit of micro-moments, be where buyers search for information in the minute – such as Google, Google Maps, Amazon, YouTube, and anywhere else people search for data at a moment’s notice.

The growing use of voice search has made it essential for companies to reconsider their digital marketing strategies in 2019. By the year 2020, 50% of all searches will be the voice searches, 20% of mobile queries on Google are voice searches, 25% of all Bing searches are voice searches.

In providing all the important information that people are searching for through audio content, Voice search plays an important role. AI is getting smoother and the number of errors made by voice assistants like Alexa, Siri and Google have condensed.

With the rising popularity of social media “stories,” it is essential for marketers to ruminate this format in their digital marketing strategy. The live video, one of the most profitable social rollouts to date, Savvy marketers can use it to promote engagement and brand awareness.

This year will be about the improved buyer experience with personalization, automation and AI-powered technology, so to stay ahead of the curve and increase conversions in the coming year, you’ll need to get superior at producing convention, conversational content – mainly audio and video content – to share with your better-targeted audience.
